Drape Forming
Drape forming is a technique that uses a felt lined clamshell mold on which a heated sheet of plastic is placed. After thermal processing softens that sheet, it sags and conforms to the shape of the mold. Drape forming can be an effective production method for parts requiring optical clarity.
Why Choose Drape Forming?
Save money: Drape forming tooling is cost-effective.
Transparency: Use drape forming when your part needs to be optically clear.
Consistency: This technique generally doesn’t stretch the plastic, so your part maintains a consistent thickness.
ICP is ISO 9001:2015 registered and RoHS compliant. ICP can perform PPAP, CPK and First Articles. That means you get exactly what you want, when you want it.
